I have been tutoring maths since 2013 and have been a qualified teacher since 2017. My speciality is supporting students who are on the grade 3/4 border but I am very happy to help anyone needing support with their maths. I believe everyone can improve their numeracy skills and have famously banned the line "I can't do maths" from my classroom!

Maths and English

I started tutoring in 2006 which I did alongside teaching horse-riding, so I've always loved helping kids learn new things and face their fears. I've worked in tutoring for over 15 years, including training other tutors and writing maths and English lessons. I now write training and exams for engineers - but really enjoy continuing to support children with their learning. My favourite thing about tutoring is being able to get to know each child as an individual and find out what works for them.

Maths and ICT

I have a background in working in both mainstream and SEN schools, teaching maths and ICT.  I  wwill work with you to achieve the best of your ability, developing critical thinking and problem solving skills.    I have a degree in maths and so am experienced in using more complicated maths, needed to support students studying maths at A-level and beyond.  My specialisms include supporting students wiht learning needs such as autism, ADHD and dyslexia.

I have been working as a maths and science tutor since 2017.  I currently specialise in teaching students with additional needs such as autism and dyslexia.  As a qualified teacher, I am expertly placed to guide progress through the National Curriculum and support students in developing their confidence and attainment.  I believe that every student should have the opportunity to reach their fullest potential, no matter which challenges they face.
